Hai Phong is the port of Hanoi and northern Vietnam and the scrap gateway for the region’s mills. Imported ferrous scrap from Japan, the United States and Australia is discharged at the Dinh Vu and Lach Huyen terminals and trucked to the EAF mills of Hai Phong, Hai Duong and the Red River delta.
The port also handles non-ferrous and e-waste imports for licensed recyclers, within the conditions that Vietnam sets for scrap.
