Scrap import for Luzon’s mills
Manila’s port and the industrial ports of Batangas serve the EAF mills and foundries of Luzon. The Philippines imports ferrous scrap from Japan, the United States, Australia and Hong Kong, largely in containers, and also exports its own surplus non-ferrous scrap to China and South-East Asia.
