Kansai scrap export
Kansai scrap export
Osaka and the Kansai ports of Kobe and Sakai export the scrap surplus of western Japan. The regionβs EAF mills consume much of it, and the rest is loaded for South Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan on coastal vessels from export yards along Osaka Bay.
The Kansai region has a long non-ferrous tradition, and copper, brass and aluminium scrap leave Osaka in containers for China and South-East Asia.
