Die-cast scrap, rolled scrap, and zinc residues for refining.
Die-cast scrap, rolled scrap, and zinc residues for refining.
Zinc melting scrap moves between countries as a feed for zinc smelters and die-casting operations. The metal is recovered from old die castings, galvanised steel, and battery scrap among other sources. India, China, Korea, and Japan have active downstream zinc industries, with the United States and Europe also generating substantial flows.
