CMRA is the recycling branch of China’s non-ferrous metals industry association and the body through which the Chinese secondary-metal industry speaks to the world. Its annual international conference is where China’s recycled-metal import standards, quotas and policy are explained, where the large Chinese secondary copper and aluminium producers present, and where overseas exporters meet them.
Since China’s shift to “recycled raw material” imports, the conference has been the place to learn what will and will not be admitted, which makes it important for exporters in the US, Europe, Japan and South-East Asia.
